Principles for Responsible Investment Conference Highlights - United Church Funds

United Church Funds’ clients benefit from our partnerships and alliances in responsible investing. One such alliance is the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). The PRI convenes institutional investors that share a commitment to holding environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues as important factors in the construction, maintenance and oversight of investment portfolios.

UCF has been a signatory to the PRI Principles since 2007. Along with other signatories, UCF commits to incorporating ESG issues into our investment policy, analysis and decision-making. In September, Katie McCloskey, Director of Social Responsibility, Charles Buck, President & CEO, and David Klassen, Chief Investment Strategist, attended the PRI in Person conference. The event brought together nearly 1,800 signatories, policymakers, activists and other ESG-interested parties. It also served as a venue to discuss the ways investments can address ESG problems. United Church Funds staff was glad for the opportunity to attend and pleased that we saw so many of our financial partners in attendance as well, from our investment consultant to many of our investment managers.

We are excited that UCF clients and stakeholders can learn much of what occurred during PRI in Person here. We would love to hear your feedback from these videos and resources. Please contact us at [email protected].
