The Rev. Penny Lowes

Since her ordination in 1999, the Rev. Penny Lowes has served as the Associate Pastor for the First Congregational UCC in Rochester and as Senior Pastor at the Congregational Church of Birmingham UCC in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The Rev. Lowes received a BA in Education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, an MA in Education from the Rackham Graduate School at the University of Michigan, and an MA of Divinity Degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Evangelical Homes of Michigan and the Ecumenical Theological Seminary of Detroit. The Rev. Lowes has also been a keynote speaker at several UCC-related workshops and programs through the years and recently completed her term as chair of the Executive Council at the national setting of the UCC. Additionally, the Rev. Lowes is a freelance writer.
