Promoting Mideast peace

May 28, 2013

In 2005, the General Synod of the United Church of Christ called on its members and ministries to use economic leverage to promote peace in the Middle East. Since that Synod, United Church Funds has worked actively within the UCC and with an ecumenical task force — comprising at least 20 different denominations, communions and Roman Catholic orders — to achieve the goals reflected in the Synod resolution. The following resources and links provide information on the conflict and on the efforts in which UCF has engaged toward the goal of a peaceful end to the Occupation.
