The Bliss Story

We can’t promise calorie-free chocolate, but we can strive to ensure cocoa is ethically sourced and free from child labor.

In this vein, after years of engagement with The Hershey Company, UCF is welcoming changes in its supply chain, including the recent release of its 100% certified product, Bliss chocolate.

Due in part to increased pressure from socially responsible investors, Hershey’s made a commitment to source 100% sustainable certified cocoa for all of its supply chain by 2020, a goal they have already made progress with — beginning with 5% in 2012, and increasing to 10% by the end of 2013.

This positive response is a delicious manifestation of UCF’s ‘behind-the scenes’ engagement work, encouraging companies they invest in to increase their commitment to social responsibility.
